Meet One More City...and win their 2026 Rapha jersey.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our Partner of the Month is One More City (OMC). Several Collective members rode this year's edition and you may have seen their stories on our Instagram. This week, we want to introduce you to the people behind the ride, the research your support funds and how you could win one of their 2026 Rapha jerseys.
Who are One More City?
One More City was founded in 2018 by Christine O'Connell, a member of the Rapha Cycling Club in London. It grew out of a 24-hour London to Paris ride the year before. That same year, Christine was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, and her own journey has driven OMC forward ever since.
Secondary breast cancer is breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It can't currently be cured, so treatment is lifelong, with ongoing scans, ongoing treatments and ongoing side effects to manage. In the UK alone, it's estimated to take the lives of 31 women every day.
That's where the name comes from. Every year, OMC riders travel from one city to the next, always pushing on to one more.
The challenge is never over, for the riders or for the researchers.
This year's ride
In September, 40 riders took on 575km and around 9 000m of climbing over four days, from Vence to Montpellier, with Mont Ventoux in the middle. Alongside the main ride, OMC runs one-day rides in cities around the world. This year's London ride stopped at the ICR's Centre for Drug Discovery in Sutton, where riders heard from the scientists their fundraising supports.
Where the money goes
Every penny raised during the OMC campaign goes to research into secondary breast cancer. Since 2018, OMC has raised over £700,000, which has been used to fully fund PhD students and a Clinical Research Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in London, and a PhD at Imperial College London, as well as projects in San Francisco, New York and Melbourne.
The current campaign aims to raise £300,000 over three years for Dr Gonzalo Torga's research at the ICR. His work looks at why some breast cancers stop responding to treatment and whether a vaccine, used alongside immunotherapy, could help overcome that resistance.

WIN a 2026 Rapha x OMC special edition jersey!
This jersey means a lot more than it looks 🩷
The 2026 Rapha One More City jersey started in a research lab. Its design comes from real images of cancer cells, taken by Professor Victoria Sanz-Moreno's team at The Institute of Cancer Research in London.
Rapha's designers turned that science into the flower pattern you see on the jersey.
The images come from the work OMC helps fund: research into how secondary breast cancer spreads and how to stop it. All proceeds from the collection go back to that research.
We're proud to share that in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, One More City is giving away one of their 2026 Rapha One More City jerseys.
